Minn's Big Trip
While Minn was busy preparing for her big study trip to Australia - the air ticket, the lodging, the school fee, the furniture - I was reminded of the time where I almost went there to study too. At the same uni. But because of someone who is not even in my in-memory list now (read: not a significant relationship), I chose to stay behind.
I can't say I regretted my choice because I met my little group of wonderful girlfriends from studying here instead. And then there's also BB who stick with me for that 2 good years. But sometimes I do wonder if I chose a another road back then, will I be a different person today?
I suppose the answer will only be as good as my imagination allows because that period of time had already been lost forever and I cannot go back to then.

Family Day
Last night.
I was at home using my PC and suddenly, I saw a moth fluttering near the ceiling light. Insects in the house is one of my greatest fear and I immediately ran out of the room, closing the door behind me.
I stood outside the room helplessly for a minute and then, I opened the door slightly to access the situation - it was still there! Out of desperation, I switched off the main power switch of the PC (luckily it is right next to the door) and closed the door again and went to sleep in my own room.
Before I fell asleep, I thought about it and I actually felt pretty bad for not shutting down the PC properly =((
Today.
I vaguely looked like a ballerina.

Doing my best impersonation of a swan.

I remember the time where we were in our daddy's car with a heavy heart.

Mothers' Day dinner at the new (I think) Sakae Teppanyaki.

Our chef dicing the garlic.

The condiments.

The appetizer.

Our mountain full of mushrooms.

The staple.

The food.

I don't think I will go back there anytime soon, you get the drift?
Poodle Doodle Dooo
I don't know about you but I find this hilarious.
[Article from AAP]
Thousands of Japanese have been swindled in a scam in which they were sold Australian and British sheep and told they were poodles.

Flocks of sheep were imported to Japan and then sold by a company called Poodles as Pets, as fashionable accessories, available at $1600 each. That is a snip compared to a real poodle which retails for twice that much in Japan.
The scam was uncovered when Japanese moviestar Maiko Kawamaki went on a talk-show and wondered why her new pet would not bark or eat dog food. She was crestfallen when told it was a sheep.
Japanese police believe there could be 2,000 people affected by the scam, which operated in Sapporo and capitalised on the fact that sheep are rare in Japan, so many do not know what they look like.
Many of the sheep, believed to have been imported from Britain and Australia, have now been donated to zoos and farms.
My daddy suggested getting Jack a sheep instead of a dog then. Good one there! Haha!

A Porridge Affair
I was craving for the Taiwan porridge at Oasis. So we went.

Our window view. The restaurant is "floating" on the river (Kallang river I supposed).

The sweet potato porridge. I can totally finish 2 bowls by myself!

Food is very good, although a bit expensive consider that it's porridge-style.

Thank you BB, for this long long overdue treat!
Where are the Bees?
Some ten billions bees in the US of A have gone missing.
Scientists are currently struggling to find the answers to this colony collapse disorder - the disappearing bee syndrome. So far, colony collapse disorder has been found in 27 states.
There is an urgency to understand the cause of the bee disappearance because they ranked the highest in terms of their importance in the human food chain - for their pollinating capabilities. Hundreds of fruits, vegetables, flowers and nuts awaits their pollination.
Pollination - the process by which plant pollen is transferred from the male reproductive organs to the female reproductive organs to form seeds and eventually fruits.
[Source]
There had been many speculations on the possible reasons for this strange phenomenon. People have blamed genetically modified crops, cellular phone towers and high-voltage transmission lines and also suggested that terriorists could be trying to bring down American agriculture.
Genetic testing at Columbia University has revealed the presence of multiple micro-organisms in bees from hives or colonies that are in decline, suggesting that something is weakening their immune system. The researchers have found fungi in the affected bees that are the same as those found in humans whose immune systems have been suppressed by AIDS or cancer.

Please come home now oh lovely bees!

This Wednesday
It was malay food galore for dinner today.
Ayam Penyet

Nasi Lemak

Soto Ayam

Goreng Pisang

I love the ayam penyet from this stall at Changi Village market, as recommended by Mr Goh. There was a period where I had to come here for weekly dosage to keep my cravings in check.

But recently, we found out something rather disturbing. This stall seems to be serving malays big and succulent chickens that are freshly fried while us Chinese get the small and dry ones that has been left on the stall front for some time. Out of the last 8 times we came here, 8 times we noticed the same thing happening.
This kinda makes me wonder if they are being very racist or I am just unlucky for the past 8 times.
Today, however, when we reached the market, they were just starting to fry a new batch of chickens. So my chicken ended up big and succulent too. So yummy! I was reminded of why I love it in the first place!

Could it be an issue of timing then?
Anyway.
After dinner we went Giant and got this. Death is inevitable tonight! Muahahahahaha!

A Random Post
CSI is back on Tuesday night and I love CSI.
But I do wonder if real-life crime scene investigators are that good in their job. Because it seems like there are no crimes Gil Grissom and co. can't solve, with their high-tech equipment and all.
Recently, I suffered from what is commonly known as a "writer's block". I suppose I can always snap some random pics and put some funny captions and it will still be an interesting read. But that will not be about my life, isn't it? And my blog has to be about my life and the things that I can relate to. It's the one rule I choose to live by around here. So even for random stuffs, they have to be stuffs that are meaningful to me, not just any random stuffs.
Okay, I think I lost you.
Anyway, on a totally unrelated note, recently I was told by a foot massage therapist that I am suffering from severe water retention in my legs. He said that if I don't stop drinking water before I go to sleep, my whole body will start to retain water and I will end up swollen.
So maybe, just maybe, I'm actually slimmer than I am now, just that I retained too much water. You think?
Not drinking water at night will be tough for me (I'm a serial night water-drinker) but for a better future, I'll try.
[There, a random post that I can relate to because it's about me.]

Jack's Bad Landlord - Part III
So the kitchen loo is the only loo in the house that Jack can use.
So inside the kitchen loo, where the shower area is, there is a plastic portable shelf that Jack places all his shampoo, shower foam and facial foam in.
So recently, the landlord shifted the shelf from the shower area to the basin area and placed all the cleaning detergents in it.
So now the shelf is pretty far away from the shower area and not convenient for Jack to take his stuffs whenever he bathe.
So selfish it hurts!

J to the B.A.H.R.U
7688?

We crossed the causeway again and bumped into BAMbee.

At Lavender.

After shopping and massaging, dinner was at Jack's favourite mamak store. Loves the yummy chicken!

Minn wanted me to say that boys, being boys, always lost themselves (and everyone around them for that matter!) when it comes to football matches. Tsk tsk.

Sometimes, an impromptu trip to JB for a breather can be good for health. If you know what I mean (read: cheap shopping). Heehee.

Helen's Birthday BBQ
I was a bit late to find out that there was a list of food items each one of us is supposed to volunteer to prepare. Those food that I can manage - sweet potatoes, corns, sausages - are all taken. Out of those left - prawns, sotongs, fish, salad - I think I stand a better chance with salad. So Jack and I got up early this morning and went to Giant.
On the way there, we saw an irritating driver who was swirling left and right. This dumbass actually queued in the turning lane just to go straight. STUPID!

We picked up some salad ingredients.

And JuJu, my newest friend!

Initially I had no idea how to make a decent and presentable salad. Fortunately Minn gave me some very good pointers.

Along with my wonderful co-chef, we finished the salad in no time.

We went over to Helen's place with Bian Bian guarding the salad.

Button came along too.

Jack savouring Mdm Yeo's formidable durian well.

2 norms and a wrong.

Much better!

With MB.
[MB: I tried my best to photoshop already!]

Mdm Yeo's very yummy chix wings.

Too full.

BB, please take care of my little kitty. Will ya? Heehee.

The Angs.

Bian Bian wanna get out of the car to join in the fun.

Happy birthday Helen!

Faith couldn't wait to blow out the candles.

My Sleepmates
I made some changes to my blog and I really love it! Anyone want a link from me?

BB always said that my bed has so many toys I have no space to sleep. Well, I'm not really a stuffed toy kinda girl but I admit I do have a weakness for tiggers and a few other cute ones.
Let me introduce to you, my fellow sleepmates:
Xiao Hei

This baby has been with me for more than 20 years! My best friend since the day he came. My mum got him for me because my cousin had one and I wanted to steal it from him. Heehee. The only toy that I still keep from my childhood days. He was wearing a singlet I worn when I was a baby (thanks to Minn who found it somewhere in the storeroom)!
The pink mousey next to him hasn't got a name. My secondary school best friend has one in blue - we gave it to each other as a token of friendship. Sadly, I didn't keep in touch with her anymore.
Pig Pig

Minn's gift from her friends way back. She got bored of him after a while and wanted to throw him away. He looked so sad and cute at the same time so I took him in.
Winnie

Got this from Melbourne. Am not a big fan of pooh but I think this baby one is very cute.
The Family of Three

From left to right, Piggy, Hotdog Kor Kor and Sausage.
Toilet Roll Duckie Dispenser

This came from one of the Bangkok trips. Very handy for a frequent flu-er like me.
Party-Time Tigger and T-for-Tigger

Got these online. Jack doesn't like them because of their pointy noses but I think they are cute. Plus they are quite big and I like them big.
Bolster Tigger

From Jack on one of our dates.
A Super-Soft Tigger

He looks so honest and decent.
Random Small Tiggers

Sporty

One of my favourite. Super cute and good to hug.
Mao Mee

My mum didn't allow her to sleep on the bed but this made the forbidden bed all the more interesting for her! So whenever my mum was out, she would invite herself up to my bed and lazed there till it was absolutely necessary to get down.
I still miss her every single day and will be this way until the day we meet again.

This Thursday
I woke up this morning and found a chipped nail. Notice how my nails are super dry and peeling at the sides. I need a manicure soon!

A very pleasant surprise. Thanks BB! Muack!

Mdm Yeo is back in office from her 3 months hiatus. Finally our row is complete.

Junk food, replenished.

Koo Kee Yong Tow Foo at Bishan. Better than this one that the TV recommends.

A real-life tiko pek who keep staring at my non-existence boobs. Got so desperate anot!

Pictures from Mdm Yeo's Hokkaido trip. I so wanna go there someday.

You Are His Everything

"To you, he's a dog.
But to him, you are his everything."
But to him, you are his everything."
And yet you dumped him like he is nothing!
I don't understand. I really don't! It's beyond me to comprehend the mindset of someone who cruelly abandoned his own pet.
And if it's a planned move - 12am on a Monday night where the neighbourhood is fast asleep and thus no one will notice; the top storey of a far far away block so that there's no way the poor pooch can find it's way home - then it's sick to the core!
And I bet the doggy was carried all the way to his designated dumping location so that he would not pee on his way and leave markings that could possibly allow him to find his way home.
Sick!
The worst thing is, no one would lend a helping hand. The police will not. SPCA will not. Because it's only a dog whose life and death will not affect anyone (but me). Did I mention we are a civilisation? How ironic! Pui!
You know, a dog is not a fashion accessory - you don't wear it like a trophy when it's in and throw it away when it's old. It has feelings too and it will probably love you forever.
I once heard an ex-colleague said that she wanted to get a dog because it's cool, when she doesn't even like animals at all! I despise such sickos to bits! They should be shot dead!
Seriously, I wish I can do more for the little doggy. But I can't. And it's not a good feeling. If it ever happens again, I hope I will have the ability to do more than just pray and hope for the best.
If I ever find out who this pet-dumping bastard is, I don't know what I will do to him. And I do hope that he can still sleep peacefully at night and enjoy it while it last.

This Monday
From Japan
Mdm Yeo was back from her Japan trip and she got these for me.

Candle duckie.

Jelly duckies which decorate the mirror. Will be keeping these for my new place in the not-so-distant future. Thank you Mdm Yeo!

Organic Pitaya Enzyme(?)
Saw these at home. Suppose to be good for health.

The colour is.. unique.

New Friend
He who can move his limps is called Button.

Around the Office
Today in MSN.
BB: hey, come out with some boliao stuff we can do leh..
Me: like u help me pull out my grey hair and I squeeze ur zits for you?
Me: while MB just stone and watch us?
Heehee.
BB was so bored today she keep sending me links to bridal forums. I tried to psycho her to start her own blog but she would rather die than to do it. Sigh.
Anyway.
She taught me to add my own header to the subject line of the emails I received and damn! It makes everything so much easier!

Lynnie's Revelation of the Day
Sometimes, I feels like I am a toilet flush - once I cleared some shit, other shit dropped in. It's a vicious cycle that will go on forever.

The Day MB Won First Prize
The yearly Her World Brides Wedding Fair is supposedly the biggest wedding fair in SG. We went to check it out.

Enjoying the high-tea buffet which was included in the package.

Maybe it's just me but the wedding albums we saw from the various participating bridal boutiques were not very impressive. Their gowns were too old-fashionish with way too much beads for my liking. It seems like beads are a must-have these days.

These 2 gowns were more to my liking. I them prefer plain yet unconventional.

I like the bustier of this but again it's the invasion of the beads.

We survived closed to an hour of sales pitch (thank goodness we didn't go early) and finally made it to the much-awaited lucky draw. While Flying Dutchman (MC of the day) handed out prizes after prizes, our hopes of winning anything dropped further and further.
We were all aiming for the 2nd prize - 3 days 2 nights stay at the Pan Pacific Presidential Suite with champagne and dinner included - but I guess we weren't that lucky. =((
And then, MB, who almost never win anything all her life, won! The first prize no less! She had the winning ticket to a SOO KEE Gailia diamond necklace worth more than SGD 5000!

We went to claim the prize.

For the rest of us, if it's any consolation, we did bring home a goody bag each.

Nat Nat's 21st
Tasha's favourite colour is purple so naturally, for her birthday party, all guests are requested to come in something purple. The problem is, both Jack and I have nothing in purple! Luckily for me, I still have my trusty-ly huge earrings collection. But Jack only has this which he sticked on his polo tee. A rather weak attempt but I guess it's the thoughts that counts. Heehee.

On the way to the chalet, while we were lost, we saw a rainbow.

Cool children's pool.

Purple balloons, some of which were leftovers from last year.

Her cousin was MC of the day. Don't ask me about the outfit - I have no idea!

Games which involved some serious body contortions.

The food.

The guests.

We taught my mummy how to play MJ. The way she said that we can all play at home once she knows how to play, it sounds like it's mandatory to play MJ with her everyday!

The birthday girl got sabo.

Happy Birthday Nat!

A Pig's Mentality
If you took over the roles of 2 of your colleagues who left the company and the company did not find any new replacements for them, logically you would now be handling 3 persons' job by yourself.
And, if you tell your boss that you are suffocating because of the higher workload and lack of help, but your boss tells you that since he did not see you come into the office at 8am in the morning and leave at 10pm at night (official working hour is 9pm to 6pm) and after you went home, he also did not see you in Yahoo Messenger, and so you can't be at home doing work and should be outside having fun, he feels that you have not been stretched to the max and therefore will not give any help to you, what would you do?
To make things worst, he also tells you that since each person works 8 hours a day, doing 3 persons' job would means working 8 hours x 3 = 24 hours. Which you did not and so, to him you are still doing one person's job.
NOW, what would you think of such a boss?
If this actually comes from someone at the director level, do you think it's acceptable?
It's true that we often have different expectations of different people.
Expectation - an expectant mental attitude.
[Source]
While our bosses expect us to be hardworking, responsible and diligent (and in my case, to bring in more revenue as well), we expect our bosses to be understanding, resourceful and offer assistance when we asked for it. Not to judge us by the time outside of the official working hours that we spent at work and whether we are in Yahoo Messenger at night or not. Because a person with normal IQ would have known that:
(i) Not signing into Yahoo Messenger at night doesn't mean I am not working from home.
(ii) Signing into Yahoo Messenger at night doesn't mean I AM working from home!
I mean, com'on man! Yahoo Messenger as a gauge?!
I would think that as the director of a company, with his experience and all, he should have done better than to judge by these "guidelines". But unfortunately, I know of one such director whose thinking is so childish I can't help but despise him.
Despise - to regard with contempt, distaste, disgust, or disdain; scorn; loathe.
[Source]
I suppose it would be wrong to assume that idiocracy is something that the senior management will not be guilty of due to their high level in the hierarchy. Because anyone can be an idiot, including the director who is high up there. And regardless of how high he goes, as long as he doesn't recognise that his most important assets are the people working for him, he is bound to fail one day.
And when that day comes, I can only say 3 words to him - TSK TSK TSK!

I Hate Delifrance!
I was in town with Minn today to get her laptop and she treated me to Delifrance.

BIG MISTAKE!
I had never like Delifrance because of their stingy-as-hell IT manager whom I, unfortunately, had to deal with previously (yes, I am that BIAS!). And true enough, they never fail to disappoint.
First.
The food took a long time to come. We ordered 2 chicken D'Light sandwiches plus soup plus canepes which were either easy to prepare or ready-made.

I don't see why they needed 20 minutes to serve the food to us.
Second.
I wanted my sandwich in ciabatta which was outta stocks. So I requested to change it to light rye instead, which was outta stocks too! It was only about 4 plus in the afternoon and they didn't have anything already!
Third.
I don't like the rest of the bread (the very rude and impatient waiter offered me 9 cereals which is like.. huh?) so I said I wanted to cancel the sandwich and order something else. And I requested for the menu.
Then, this waiter actually said that his kitchen had already prepared the sandwich and he just stood there expecting me to say okay to 9 cereals(?).
Please correct me if I am wrong but Delifrance sandwich fillings are ready-made and left in the container, ain't it? They just need to prepare the bread, put some lettuces and tomatoes and add the fillings. Right? So if the bread I wanted was not available, how could the kitchen had already prepared the sandwich?
Bloody liar who was plain lazy!

Fourth.
I insisted on cancelling the order and requested for the menu again. Before this rude waiter walked away, he actually gave a TSK and disappeared for 5 more minutes before coming back with the menu. What!? And the counter where the menus were was only 2 steps away from our table!
Fifth.
Minn, who was keeping quiet all these while, was very pissed off by the absolutely bad service. So she went to borrow a pen from one of the senior waiter (I assumed he is because he had on a tie which the rest don't have), intending to write a complaint in the comment form. Once again, she got a rude reply - I need to use it. This fella simply refused to lend her a pen!
Sixth
When the bill came, my cancelled sandwich order was charged!
3 words I can say - GO AND DIE!

World Domination and a Crushed Dream
I was at a Microsoft partners event today where they talked about their latest offerings. They said that they are not selling an email solution; they are offering unified communication and collaboration. I'm sure they also plan to take over the world someday.

I had been eyeing the LV Mini Lin Saumur in dune (cream colour) for a while now. Ever since I saw it on the website, I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I did the maths and evaluated my financial health - May would be a good month to get it!

For the 2 months after this target date was set, I have a new motivation and a new goal that I can work towards. Work, no matter how sucky, has a purpose and meaning now. I have not seen the actual bag before and since it's already April, I thought I'll drop by the boutique to see my new baby.
And then, like the sand castle that was destroyed by the merciles strong wind, my dream was crushed. Because Saumur is U-G-L-Y! I know they say ugly is the new look (thanks to Ugly Betty) but no, I'm not gonna get it.
My anticipation had turned into disappointment and if anything, I've learnt a good lesson here - pictures can be deceiving!

7th on the 9th
Maybe you are observant enough. Maybe you are not. Anyway.
We had dinner at Marmalade Pantry today to make up for the less-than-average Sakae sushi we had yesterday at Tiong Bahru. It seemed like different Sakae outlets, with their different chefs, have different quality of food. While most outlets we went to before are good, some just sucks.

Marmalade's cupcakes were sold out, as usual!

We sulked.

The food was... maybe I didn't order the right thing but my risotto with a tinge of lemon was too much for me to handle.

Jack asked me what was in the juice that I ordered. I couldn't remember so he asked the drink itself.

Happy.

I was watching Desperate Housewives with Minn just now and I told her how I prefer Carlos' rugged and man-ly good look to John's (the gardener) pretty boy look and she said it's because I'm older now and I prefer older men. =/
But come to think of it, I guess she's right. Damn.
On a totally unrelated note, don't ever attempt to go to Lucky Plaza on a Sunday (unfortunately I did yesterday) because it's an experience you'll remember for a long time to come. I assure you.

10 Reasons Why Minn is Way Cooler than Me
1.
She's not afraid of being alone at home.
2.
When her bf sends her home, she doesn't need him to take the lift with her.
3.
She knows all the latest Hollywood tabloids.
4.
She has more than 300 friends in Friendster.
5.
She washes the clothes and cleans the floor when our parents are not around.
6.
She makes it a point to visit the dentist.
7.
She still has close friends from primary school.
8.
Her dress sense rocks!
9.
She burps in front of her bf and think it's cool to do that.
10.
When I was at her age, I was clueless about my future - she had it all planned out.
She's simply FANTASTIC!

Jolin's Toes
I was telling Elaine how we couldn't even see Jolin's toes from where we were sitting at her concert earlier this evening while she actually took a picture with the diva herself at her press conference. So lucky! Not that I'm a huge fan of Jolin (I dropped her last name in this post for aesthetical reasons, not because we are chums) but still.
Damn.

Stolen from Elaine
The stage.

With MB.

The concert was a bit less solid than what I expected from the dancing diva. Even though she did look every bit the star and the diva, it seemed to me that she did not really put her heart and soul into the performing the dances. Compared to her strong powerful moves in her MTV, on stage she just couldn't deliver the same zest and punch. Then again, maybe it's just me. I wasn't as "high" as when I was at Jay Chou's concerts previously.
[Elaine, I know you agree with me on this.]

The acrobatic opening.

A video of her playing with guns.

She continued to play with guns on stage.

The infamous pants that were dropping off.

Hanging in mid-air.

At one point in the concert, Jolin made the audiences do the wave and then stand up to dance with her.

Her encore performance, the ribbon dance, looked rather back-breaking. Before she came out, the audiences shouted the encore in a resonably weak fashion - in 3 "spasms" each lasting less than 3 seconds. I remember 2 years back at Jay's concert, everyone starting shouting the moment the lights were dimmed, all the way till he came back on stage for the encore performance. It was a lot of difference.

She thanked her sponsors and fans.

At the end of the day, I guess I'll have to say - it's not easy being Jolin.

Global Warming
I heard from the news yesterday that 2500 top scientists around the world gathered at Brussels to discuss the possible effects of global warming to our environment - the results of 6 years of study into this apocalytic situation.
As part of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), these scientists predicted that the increase in temperature will bring about an increase in sea level for centuries to come. This will lead to a lost of land for most island countries, such as us. The human population will be affected too because droughts, floods, cyclones and other natural disasters will be worst than they had ever been.
If the global average temperature increase by 2°C compares to 20 years ago, about 30% of living organisms will face extinction.
Maybe we will not live long enough to see the full effects of global warming but it's the thought that our children and their children will that scares me.

Good Friday
BB and Alan checked themselves into Conrad for a night, supposedly to do some swimming and gym exercise. But we all know the real reason why they are there. Heehee.

Leaving them to enjoy themselves, we made a trip to the supermarket.
I had been a huge fan of seaweed since my primary school days where the school tuckshop used to sell them at 10 cents for a pack of 4 pieces. Salty and finger-sticking, they are the next best thing after potato chips.
Recently, seaweed had revolutionalised into what is known as Tao Kae Noi Japanese Crispy Seaweed. Woohoo! I tell you, crispy seaweed are absolutely yummy. I can't get enough of them!

My other current obsession is Snapple. Jack said I drank so much Snapple I seemed a bit hay-wired.

We had home-cooked (or rather Jack-cooked) dinner.

Bian Bian needed to poo. Stinko!

Thursday Majiam Friday
My meeting at One Raffles Quay ended early today and I had a bit of time to spare. So I pretended to be a tourist and snapped away.

Construction of possibly the IR?

I heard this is the spectator area for future F1 motorboat racing.

The half-done giant ferris wheel.

Actually, if I didn't miss the underpass at One Marina Boulevard (to the train station), I wouldn't have to walk all the way to Fullerton to cross the road. Dammit!

Minn left me in the lurch and hung up on me.
[No, I will not approve any of your comments to defend yourself! Wahahahaha!]

When I finally got home, I saw my fat little friend again.

After Jack picked me up, we went for dinner at Tiong Bahru Market where I had my favourite Hokkien Prawn Mee.

The business at this stall is always damn good. Check out the queue.

Their Hokkien Prawn Mee is one of the best I tried. Not too wet, not too dry, just nice with a very rich flavour to it. Even though the whole plate of noodles is full of beansprouts, I picked them out one by one. Normally if the stall owners refused to cook my food without the beansprouts, I'll just eat something else. But for this, it's worth it!

That's how much I like it.

The Dinner Worth 20 Emails
The toilet paper thief is back from his hush-hush searching-for-happiness holiday and my toilet roll went missing almost immediately.

If it's any redemption, he brought back Lao Puo Bing.

It's been a while since I meet up with the girls. So after 20 emails, we finally confirmed the time and place - Waraku Japanese Restaurant.
[Elaine, thanks for making this happened!]

Jack needed coaxing to smile for the camera.

The food.

The current in sushi - Dragon Roll.

BB, you know what this means.

Absolut Vodka exhibition at Marina Square. Love the posters.

A silver globe at a certain window display.

Strange
I am distured as much as I am perplexed.
Per-plex - To cause to be puzzled or bewildered over what is not understood or certain; confuse mentally.

It seems that because of something that I said, I opened the flood gate for one of my co-worker to attack another co-worker. And my words had become so twisted I cannot recognise it anymore.
I do not like it and I feel that this is not acceptable. If 2 persons has any feud between themselves, that is all there should be - between themselves and no one else. Why would my comment be used as a finger-pointing tool, I have no idea. And if I really have something against that co-worker, I would look into it myself (thank you very much!) and definitely not use someone else as my bullets.
Sigh, the things that one do to bring down another can be so disturbing.

This Monday
MB sent me this today. Heehee.

Jack whacked me for not taking Vitamin C tablets and ended up getting ulcer in my mouth.

I gave him 4 choices for dinner but he chose neither!

Old-school fun.

I opened a sweet for Jack but he is already chewing on one. So I wrapped it back and left it in his car. Heehee.

Between Minn and me, there is a neat one and a neater one. Take your pick.

This Sunday
The new Vinco Doughnut Parlour at VivoCity.

I suppose they are banging on the success of The Donut Factory. The queue, though not as long, looks promising. It's just like the bubble tea phenomenom a few years back.

Their mascot - Doughnalisa. Very creative!

On the contrary, the usually-fully-packed-with-super-long-queue-at-the-door Kim Gary has no queue. We took the chance to see what the hype is all about at this Hong Kong style cafe.

Can you see me?

From where we were sitting, we can see the bridge to Sentosa and the new monorail.

Food is good but there are not much choices for finger food compared to Kim Gary in KL.

Sharing a noodle moment.
