I Am Terminally Ill Today

Which explains why I have time to do this.

I do not have all the photos yet, just a sneak preview on our recent incentive trip to BKK.

I Remember You From A Year Ago

Today a year ago had been one of the saddest day of my life. That day, my baby left us forever.

I remember it was a Tuesday. I had instinctly taken an urgent leave from work to keep watch over her. The couple of weeks before had been a tough one for all of us. She had stopped eating completely.

As I saw her lying in the white Ikea box meant for tidying up my room, I couldn't stop my tears from flowing. There was simply no way I could stop crying.

That day onwards, we stopped making memories together.

That day, I lost one of the greatest love of my life.

Today, a year later, I still cry sometimes from missing her. Maybe when the day come for me to go, I will see her again.

The Shortness Of It All

I have only been away for 5 days and Heath Ledger passed away at age 28.

I will be 28 in two months' time.

If anything, his death served as a reminder that life can be so unpredictable and we shouldn't be wasting time on impossible dreams.

Before you know it, life may be over.

Snapped out of it already!

T3

Yesterday we went to the new T3 to look-see.

A giant rotating.. windmill maybe?

Public phone with touch-screen lcd that can be used to play games. Wow!

The first Popeyes outlet in SG at the basement of T3. Jack said their food was much better in Canada. The mashed potato is quite good though.

I think T3 is not much different from T2 and as far as I am concern, T1 is still the most cosy one.

I See Stupid People

In my job, I meet so many stupid people on a daily basis that if I didn't meet any on a single day, I asked myself am I just dreaming.

Dumbness kills my brain cell more than anything else!

Fly Me To The Moon

Jack left for KL (again) and I have a bit of time on my hand (again).

It's kinda funny because all those time we stayed together, we never stop each other from doing what we wanted to do but somehow, time just seem limited.

Maybe subconsciously, there is a need to keep each other annoyed company.

Heehee.

Anyhow.

Leftovers from a few weeks back.

Teochew porridge at Henderson.

It was so good we went again yesterday bringing Minn along.

2 Sundays ago, we went to JB for dim sum. The lotus leaf rice and you tiao zhu chang fen were unbelievable.

One Saturday, while playing our usual MJ, we ran into a peculiar situation.

One player bao wan zi, one player bao tong zi, one player bao suo zhi. Guess who is sitting on the left?

End note:
A strange incident happened in my office today. I wonder what happened.

Baby Kieran celebrated his first birthday yesterday and all the children, big and small, had a fun time just gathering together.

The theme of the party - Bob the Builder.

Kieran is a shy baby. It's the first time he allowed me to carry him. Weee!

First Team Dinner Of 2008

Our first team dinner happened last Friday at Hilton Hotel. It was also farewell to our wonderful Marketing guy - Bernard.

Mdm Yeo and Bernard had lots and lots of fresh oysters. They also fed each other with salmon, mussels, prawns and stuffs.

Ying Ying and me were kinda fascinated with the mini Tabasco and we each took a bottle home.

We celebrated Cass's birthday in advance. She was really shy. Heehee.

To achieving our quota this year!

End note:
Ying Ying's DSLR is damn good.

Some Heartache Never Fade

It's been almost a year.
But I could still cry a river.

Some lost can never be filled again.
Some heartache never fade.

Minn's 22nd

Yesterday we celebrated Minn's 22nd birthday at Olio's Cafe.

It didn't seem too long ago that we celebrated her 21st's. I supposed it's true to a certain extend when people said that after your 21st birthday, everything just fly past you.

Collectively we ordered a lot of food.

We had a great time being entertained by Minn (as usual!).

Happy Birthday MinnieBear (corny, just like ClareBear, heehee)!

Shake It Like a Polaroid, Shake It!

In the midst of the DSLR craze in my office recently, I chose a road less travelled - the film-based lomos. And so far, I've been having a blast of a time.

Of course, the lomos fit my pocket better than a DSLR!

I tried to aim high too by thinking that I can get a Leica M8 but thoughts are just thoughts.

The fact is, it's too damn exp!

Maybe I should consider a polaroid.

I like!

A Secret

Let me start the year by telling you a secret.

This is me when I was 17.

As you can probably tell, I had a brow lift and upper lid surgery to give my eyes more "life".

I also had rhinoplasty on my nose to raise my nose bridge.

And then I had cheek implants to make my cheek bones higher.

While at it, I also had my whole face lifted and had the excess bones near the sides of my chin shaven off to give my face a more chiselled look.

Now, this is me at 27 in 2007.

What do you think of the job?

End note:
Heehee. Just kidding!

Of course, I did not have all those done (except for the fake double-lid) but when I saw my pics at 17, I do feel that it's as though I had plastic surgery done to my face.

How did that happen man?!

Welcome!

Happy New Year!

So, 2008 is here in a swift. A brand new year simply means that it's time to buck up at work again.

My resolution for this year will be:

(I) To learn driving (as BB reminded me).
(II) To lose weight (as MB reminded me).
(III) To treat the people I love and care better than last year.

Here's to a good year ahead!
