A Warm Gift

My grand auntie, who I haven't seen in 14 years (since my grandma passed away), came all the way from her place in Woodlands to send me this as a wedding gift.



After 14 years she still remember how to get to my house and by foot from the train station no less!

At 60 plus years old, her memory is excellent!

It's quite a warm and fuzzy feeling. Kinda like seeing my grandma again.

A Progressive Weekend

The weekend has been rather productive for us.

Hood, hob, sink, heater - CHECK!
Living room lights, kitchen lights, bathroom lights - CHECK!
Washing machine - CHECK!
Rice cooker, thermo water flask (or whatever you call it) - CHECK!
Waste bins for the master bedroom (hotel-style but at $5 each!) - CHECK!

Empty pockets - DOUBLE CHECK!

Of course, making progress also means the increased frequency of arguements due to differing views and opinions.

Oh well. Something every couple has to go through, no?

This weekend I also received my first wedding ang bao. From my aunt.
It was quite a hefty amount.

It was found on 438 the day we helped BB and Alan shift house.

New Stuffs

Jack is taking a break for the wedding and will be outstationed for one last week starting from tomorrow. Since we wouldn't be able to achieve much progress while he is gone, we felt compelled to get something done today.

That something happened to be the purchase of our new sofa and bed!

We didn't spend a lot of time comparing because initially I wanted Elaine's red Mondi sofa. This furniture place we stumbled into happened to have a similar one at a lower price. Plus their bed frame and mattress seemed reasonably priced.

So, it was a go-ahead.

Weeeeee!

A rather sumptuous and heavy dinner to celebrate our small progress.



We also got a gingerbread boy and a gingerbread girl (dog toys actually) which we could be using as our wedding car mascots.



We'll see.

I took a ride at the Singapore Flyer for the very first time.
So did a bunch of other crazy peeps. It was so fun!

I had my food tasting today and the food IS SO GOOD!
Totally different from what I had at my cousin's wedding.

Can't help but feel that this is only a trick hotels do to bluff their clients.

Magic Ink

These dresses are made with small pockets for placing un-capped colourful magic ink pens and after a while, blots of colours will start to appear. As time goes, the blot changed in shape and after each wash, they changed even more.

Each time you wear and wash it, it is a diffferent dress.
So innovative!

Joke Of The Century

Maybe you know. But maybe you don't.

I'm not very happy rather pissed off with my bridal studio for delaying getting the layout done on our selected pictures time and again.

3 weeks had become 2 months.

The reason why we chose to have our photoshoot early is so that we can concentrate on our renovation during these last 2 months and not to worry about everything all at once.

But because of this delay, we still have to make time to travel all the way to JB when we are already running short of time.

And the ironic thing is they actually hung up a picture of me in my gown in their store front when I haven't even see the final edited copy of my album.

Joke of the century ain't it!

A Relocation Job

I woke up feeling quite excited today because BB is shifting to her new place!



The guys shifted loots after loots of stuff from the old house.



After waiting an entire afternoon, we can finally watch some TV!
