Evil Merchant, Part II
The same evil merchant who sold us our mattress and bed frame delivered our sofa today.
The sofa, other than not being the specifications we wanted, was torn on the underside.

I am keeping my 800 bucks balance sum at the moment.
Let's see what they will do about it.

Evil Merchant
For every honest person that you meet, there are 3 dishonest persons lurking around. Some are so shameless that it hurts just talking about them.
But.
I have to talk about this extremely evil merchant that we encountered or I will forever live in regrets.
You see, slightly more that a month ago, chubby hubby and me went to a certain atas looking furniture place in Macpherson. The salesperson who served us was a senior and he was really good in his knowledge and his words. We were quite satisfied with his service and of course with their offerings. So we placed an order for a sofa, a bed frame and a mattress - to be exact, a limited edition Slumberland Royal Heritage mattress.
This afternoon, the mattress came.
And it wasn't Slumberland Royal Heritage. It was Slumberland Classic. We asked the delivery guy (from Slumberland itself) and he said they were the same thing.
Chubby hubby felt a bit fishy about it cause he remember seeing a Classic one next to the Royal Heritage one in the furniture place and it wasn't the hardness that we wanted. It also cost lesser.
So, he called the furniture place to enquire.
Their reply was that Royal Heritage had been renamed to Classic and nobody inform us that's why we didn't know.
We were infuriated.
If it's anybody's job to inform us that our purchase had been renamed and we would not be receiving what we ordered, it was theirs!
But chubby hubby wasn't convinced and asked to speak to the senior whom we purchase the items from.
After 2 hours, 3 phone calls and lots of angry words from chubby hubby, the senior told us that the Royal Heritage mattress we purchased actually belongs to someone who had reserved it but did not make payment for it. As there wasn't any left (limited edition mah), they delivered a Classic one to us.
[1]
If they already sold the mattress to someone else, why sell it to us?
[2]
If it's because the other party has not make any payment, shouldn't they give a courtesy call to them before selling their reservation away?
[3]
We bought our stuffs a month ago and if the other party indeed wanted the mattress, they would have more than enough time to inform us. It's just not right to simply deliver any mattress to us.
[4]
And if it's a genuine mistake, why lie about the name change?
Anyway, just as the name-change story is a lie, I believe the reservation without payment story is a lie too.
Such dishonest people!
End note:
I wanna talk about my evil ID and evil bridal studio too but there are just too many things to say about these evil people.

A Chicken Trip For 10
This was meant to be our wedding committee meeting.
But it ended up as a chicken trip.
Breakfast at Lavender.

The girls choosing their bridesmaid gowns from the very limited selection.
[Pui!]

The guys were bored.

Checked in at Holiday Inn Melaka.

A different kind of Fu (happiness), Lu (prosperity) & Shou (longevity).

Our pretty nails.

The committee meeting.
In between our chicken dinner and chicken supper.

Chicken lunch the next day before heading home.

End note:
As I am typing this, I am still full of chicken.
Heehee. Inside joke!

I've Sold My Youth To WW
It's been 4 years.
If you don't think about it, it's just a job - an office you go to 5 days a week where you see the same people over and over again.
But when I flipped through my friendster pictures (yes, I do that all the time!), I saw friendships that evolve over the years.
I saw the first weekend where we hung out as more than colleagues.
I saw birthday celebrations, lots of them.
I saw bored trainings where we amused ourselves till we ended up in laughters.
I saw weddings where I was priviledged enough to be part of.
I saw LOVE.
I saw vacations that came with private pool and unauthorised steamboat.
I saw our first ever company-wide team building trip.
I saw our 10 anniversary dinner.
I saw many many team dinners.
Of course, I also saw hairstyles that changes over the years.
If you think about it, in a company where most people stay on for years, it's normally because of the other people in that company.
Thank you you all!
