Wedding Of The Year - Part II Preview

So, the last wedding for this year that we get to be a huge part of was finally over!

It's interesting to note that my demand as a sister increased after I got married. This was my third time after chubby hubby and I signed the papers and I just got news that I will most probably be booked for 1 more in the distant near future.

Well, what can I say? The allure of the married babe. Wahahhahahhaha!

Can I get any more shameless?

Here's a sneak peak of the (insane amount of) pictures that I took.
More to come next week.

End note:
Be back in a week!

Home-Made Chicken Rice

My mummy dearest made us chicken rice for dinner tonight.
The home-made dumpling soup was especially yummy.

Every once a week, I let myself go like totally.
Totally gorge myself silly.

Bad but worth it!

This one was by me.

Our Neighbourhood Mall

As a neighbourhood mall, JP is quite exciting to explore.
Especially the new foodcourt which houses small eating outlets with some high-tech ordering devices.

If you choose not to sit inside these eating places but to sit at the common foodcourt area, you will be given a palm-size disc which will vibrate once your order is ready.

Indonesian food disc.

Japanese food disc.

So fun to use!

Year Twelfth

Happy Friendship Day my GGFs!
After all these years I'm still not sure if it's today. Hee!

Can you girls believe it's been 12 years?
I'm quite sure we aren't so old.

Today's Resume Killers

According to Yahoo, there are 10 phrases that if you use in your resumes today, you will automatically be placed last in consideration for the job.

Here are the 10 used-to-be-widly-used but no-longer-in-fashion phrases:

- Results-oriented professional
- Cross-functional teams
- More than [x] years of progressively responsible experience
- Superior (or excellent) communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Met or exceeded expectations
- Proven track record of success
- Works well with all levels of staff
- Team player
- Bottom-line orientation

Yahoo pointed out that in today's market, instead of using such "automatic" and cliche words, we should add a human touch to our resumes.

It's time I start to write mine.

Chicken Or Egg?

I'm a little bit shy to say this - it was my first time at a hen's night!
Although we didn't do anything outrageous, it was still fun.

Round I.

Round II.

Round III.

Hope you had fun Jess!

Da Vinci

We took a ride to the science centre this morning.
To see an amazing work that spans 10 years in the making.

He was an artist.
But he was also an engineer, an inventer, a war strategist and so much more!

My favourite, the vitruvian man.
I learnt so much about him today.

Cam whoring time which BB enjoyed more.

Snip Snip

Giggling hair time with BB.
It was giggling and fun!

Jay Chou look-a-like stylist dude who had BB mesmerized.
She didn't even bother asking him what colour he was giving her hair!

Hello girl, behave!

Being Green

Minn passed these stickers to me which her company designed for World Environment Day.

While I happily hold them in my hands (am always excited over stickers!), chubby hubby commented that isn't printing all these a waste of resources which is not green at all.

And I guess he's right! Isn't it ironic?

Me, for one, tried my best to be green. I recycle papers, cans and plastic bottles by faithfully accumulating them and then bringing them to the recycle bins below my place.

I also try to save electricity by switching off all unnecessary appliances. I even unplug my laptop adapter every night cause I read from Yahoo a while back that devices with an internal clock (like laptop and oven), will continue to draw electricity as long as they are plug into the socket, even when turned off.

But the ironic thing is, I am guilty of using too much water, especially during bathing. I wastefully allow the water to run for the entire duration of my shower which I really feel guilty about! But I've been doing this since forever and I'm not about to change just because I want to be green.

The point is, I can never be like those extremely green people who get featured on TV - they actually save the water from mopping floor to flush the loo and even for flushing, they have fixed schedule whereby flushing is only allowed after 5 usage of the loo (not sure if they make an exception for poo-ing; imagine the first usage is to poo!).

But whatever I can do and I feel comfortable doing, I try my best to do it. Doesn't matter that I can't do everything or that my lone effort cannot make the earth more green. I contribute in the small ways that I know how. And take pride in the fact that instead of wasting everything, I am at least doing something.

WFH

The perks of working from home is that you get to do all those housework you've been meaning to do but have no time for.

Which also means exposing yourself to the danger of having your fake gel nail fly off in the midst of it.

This is exactly what happened to me while I was folding clothes!
No idea how it happened. I swear I wasn't even violent!

At the end of the clothes-folding session, I only have 7 gel nails left on my hands. I couldn't stand the imperfection of it and I got everything out.

These were all that's left.

And my nails?
Chui.
